For the past few weeks, we have been bombarded with sexual assault allegations regarding powerful men in Hollywood. And it has torn the internet apart.
Most of us have sighted in relief while the rest had a hard time believing how big the problem actually was. One after the other, people were being named and exposed to the cruelty they have been committing throughout their careers.
And that’s not to mention how Hollywood itself is a problem when it comes to lowering women and their role in society – although it is starting to change as we are seeing more conscious female leads in big productions.
The sexism in Hollywood is flagrant but we have grown accustomed to it so it doesn’t bother us like it should.
I was about to get to work when my best friend redirected me to a link regarding a newly accused star and next thing you know, I spent the next hours looking at the situation – from user comments to articles.
I do not want to talk about my vision of things some users said – or how the rape culture is something really ingrained in our society – because this is not my purpose here. What I want to talk about is how this will affect the divine feminine. And on a bigger scale.
For thousands of years we have silenced women and on top of that – we have shamed them. We have shamed them for their sexuality, for their power, and for their knowledge.
Churches said that women were evil and not to lust after them.
That beautiful, young and single women were witches and we needed to burn them. Some religions even deem the menstrual blood as “impure” and women shall not have any sexual relationship during their periods as if to not “contaminate” their masculine partner. When there was war, soldiers piled the villages and raped the women. That was the custom.
Marie Magdelene, still to this day, has the title of “Official Slut of the Catholic Church” meanwhile what she really was, was a woman with a lot of knowledge regarding sexual healing and the legitimate partner of Jesus Christ.
Because even for Jesus, behind every great man there is a great woman.
We have been denying and shaming a part of ourselves that is at the very essence of creation. And we still feel the consequences up until this day. Though the destruction of Mother Earth, the division between people and the fragmented ego that we share as a society.
And to welcome her again is to fully accept her anger.
Distorted women in popular culture nowadays
Women are growing up with the “ Princess Programming”. They are taught that they need to be pretty and obedient in order to attract the “Knight in Shining Armor”. The one that will save them from their misery and poverty. In order to do so, they might become the archetype of the “seducer” or the “femme fatale” and resort to unhealthy tactics such as entitlement and sexual manipulation in order to get what they want.
Pageant shows and other over-sexualization methods are also used on children to further corrupt their souls and implant in them these same tactics that will further the sexual misery already existing on Earth.
This is not to mention that the medias are also actively contributing to this misery through the display of unrealistic bodies – thus making women even more ashamed of themselves, of their bellies and curves – of their very own center of creation. By doing so we are shaming creation itself.
Narcissism is encouraged, so is self-absorption and ego-centric attitudes. Women who are deemed beautiful have gone under the knife to make themselves look even more like princesses. They need to be beautiful in order to be successful. Because the success of a woman is highly correlated to her physical appearance.
And “powerful” woman figures in popular culture are sexual in essence – they are shown as the Black Lilith or the “liberated” woman. But what does that mean when everything about the woman has been distorted and corrupted for the past thousands of years? Is the sexually – and overtly liberated woman doing it for her own pleasure or is it to again, further the archetype of the seducer and for the pleasure of their male counterpart?
And the rest of “powerful” women are bound to take on the main masculine characteristics in order to be respected, have prestige and power. They need to put their more feminine traits on the side and show their more combative, masculine assets.
Energetical imbalance between the masculine and the feminine
All of the above is leading to an energetical imbalance between the masculine and the feminine – thus preventing people from forming a healthy and loving relationship with the other sex. Preventing them also from having a healthy and balanced relationship with themselves. Power Struggles are bound to arise and people will be more tempted to chase the next temptation than to work things out with their significant other.
And by taming the feminine, the masculine is also bound to suffer from it as well, creating an imbalance in its own energy. Because the feminine is in every single one of us, it is the universal energy of creation and it contains the deepest – most profound secrets of the Earth.
Through repressing the feminine in all of us we are creating a world of deprivation and the wasteland we live in. We are denying the powers of Mother Earth and all that it gives us because we are blinded by ego, greed, and power.
The masculine is also losing its own power and that’s why things such as the suicide rate for men are so high. Because they are also forced to suppress this part of themselves that is so deeply ingrained in their psyche. They are told they need to “man up”.
If we think that this matrix is affecting women only – that’s where we are wrong. It affects every single one of us up until our oceans and our lands, until our skies and the air that we breathe.
And that’s why we need to help each other in this and not put a wall between us which would only contribute to deepening the separation and the unbalance.
Reconnecting with the Divine Feminine
Let’s not forget that the Divine Feminine is a passive and receptive energy and reconnecting with her would imply that we need to listen to what she has to say. To hear and feel her pain and anger. We need to have compassion and understand what she has gone through, this is the only way we can move forward with her and not against her. We need not to blame her but to fully immerse ourselves in all that she has been through.
This is why scandals like those happening in Hollywood have so much importance in regaining the power of the Divine Feminine. Because Hollywood is all that the “negative” masculine energy is about: ego, greed, and power. And it is also a lot of what the feminine essence is about: creativity, beauty, and expression.
Women are speaking up and through this simple act, they are slowly gaining their power back. They need first and foremost to be heard, to be understood in all the pain that has been afflicted upon them for thousands of years.
The knowledge that High Priestess held has been long lost and their essence corrupted through the trauma and abuse that have been going on for so, so long.
And when I am reading some of the hateful comments of users when a woman tries to come out, some are so quick to defend this existing matrix of shame and abuse. They are so quick to protect the aggressor and shame the victim – which is where the rape culture starts but who knows where it ends.
I praise the women strong enough to find the courage to denounce their aggressor as this is the only way we can all start to accept and welcome the divine feminine back. Through understanding and feeling their pain. Because it is not only their pain, it is everybody’s pain. It affects all of us. So let’s put a stop to this cycle of abuse and let’s start being honest with ourselves about what we really need to do to in order to gain this balance back. Let’s do it for the greater good. This is the beginning of healing for all genders.
